CHICAGO, IL–(Marketwired – Nov 25, 2013) – GoHealth, a leading online health insurance marketplace, has announced today that they have activated their integration with the Federal Data Services Hub allowing Americans to successfully enroll in new health insurance plans under the Affordable Care Act. It is the first private Marketplace to go live with an integration that allows consumers to get tax credits and subsidies and fully enroll in 2014 coverage.
Consumers can now bypass the federal website and use GoHealth to complete enrollment over the phone with a licensed advisor. In a matter of seconds, shoppers can view plans available to them on GoHealthInsurance.com. With GoHealth, consumers can calculate subsidies, apply savings directly to monthly premiums, choose a plan, and then speak with a licensed advisor to finalize enrollment.
“I am proud to announce that everything is working and we are now live. Americans who need health insurance can successfully enroll in a 2014 health plan and obtain financial assistance, if eligible,” said Shane Cruz, Senior Vice President of Technology at GoHealth, who is overseeing the company’s ongoing effort. “Our platform is operational and our team has been working tirelessly to get our integration functional so we can get Americans enrolled in the coverage they desire.”
In August, GoHealth confirmed a Web-Broker Entity agreement with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) allowing the company to instantly quote rates, calculate tax credits and subsidies and enroll consumers in health plans created by the new health reform law. GoHealth has been operating a health insurance marketplace since 2001.
“We are ready to go — our advisors are taking enrollments via phone right now,” added Brandon Cruz, President of GoHealth. “Today is big day for health insurance shoppers who have been waiting to enroll and have active health coverage starting on January 1.”
